"Early Aidan" Stories

Aidan Sound Bites
Aidan is sweet, considerate, exuberant, funny, and has a great imagination. His vocabulary is amazing, and his use of compound sentences is most adult-like. He never likes conversations to take place without him, interjecting, "What are you guys talking about?"

How to Raise Your Child!
Mindy was trying to answer some email one morning; Aidan wanted to play. When she explained that he needed to wait a bit, he went to the kitchen drawer and pulled out a placemat. He then pointed to the manual and told her that it said, "How to raise your Babies."

When she explained that he wasn't a baby any longer, he replied that it also said, "How to Raise Your Child." She asked him what it said inside and was told that "she needed to run around with him."

Papa Bill's Remodeling
Aidan was showing Grandma Judy a picture of his Papa Bill's downstairs remodeling. Judy remarked that it was really nice. Whereupon Aidan said proudly, "He did it all by himself."

Stories & Concepts
When Mitch and Mindy were driving home one day, Aidan was telling a complicated story about vehicles. When Mitch turned toward the back seat and complimented Aidan on his story, he was told by Aidan, "it's not a story, it's a concept!"

Early Birds & Worms
Aidan woke up VERY early while staying overnight with his grandparents. While Grandma Judy struggled to get her eyes open, Aidan was alert. First he said, "I realize it's still dark out." (Note from JS: No kidding! It was 5:45!) He then followed it up with, "I'm wondering if I might get a glass of milk."
