Wilde Rover Concert
On Memorial Day, May 25th, the Galway Ramblers, The Good Rats, and Ocham's Razor performed in Kirkland, WA and raised over $2000 for DMD research through Charley's Fund.

Annual Run-Walk for Aidan

Two sets of Newport High School families are again sponsoring a Run-Walk for Aidan late this summer on Saturday, August 22.

Puerto Vallarta - February 2009
Winter break found the Lefflers, the Schneiders, and the Szymanskis in Nuevo Vallarta. Highlights for Aidan included buying a light saber, visiting Chico's, and spending much time in the pools on the dinosaur. See pictures.

Disneyland

In early December, 2008, Aidan, Graham, Mindy, and Mitch, along with Papa John and Grandma Judy, went to the Los Angeles area to visit relatives and Disneyland. Read all about it.

Kindergarten
Aidan is now in kindergarten and really likes his teacher. While he can't go out to recess or do PE as the running around is too hard on his muscles, he participates fully in everything else. He got all "greats" on his first "report card."

Thanksgiving & Christmas
Even though there was lots of snow and holiday parties got cancelled or shifted, Aidan still managed to have FIVE Christmases. Read more.

Fall Fundraisers
Sammamish High School students under the leadership of the "Two Sarahs" raised over $35,000 for DMD research through Charley's Fund, and Aidan's trust fund.

They first hosted two showings of "Darius Goes West" at the high school theater. They then finished off their efforts at the high school track by sponsoring a community Walkathon on May 17th, attended by over 1500 people. Read about this year's walkathon.

The Super Jock N' Jill Run/Walk on Labor Day was a huge success. Check out the details.

Way to go, Mike!!!
Many of you know this, but for those who don't, Mike Vanderhyde, a good friend who's really part of our family, qualified for and ran the Kona Ironman in October. Ironman training is a grueling training process requiring much passion and commitment, and Kona is one of the toughest. But what makes it so special for us is that he's using his training and events to raise money for Charley's Fund.

Diagnosis Letter
